Description : D'abord tour de garde dépendante du Château de Duras au XIIe siècle, puis renforcée pour devenir une place forte. Pendant la guerre de Cent Ans, en 1377, le connétable Du Guesclin y tint un siège pendant 5 jours avant de s'en emparer. Entre les XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles, le château fut transformé en habitation.
