Historique :	Ensemble fonctionnel composite. Le tabernacle et son exposition, le gradin, la prédelle et le retable datent du 17e siècle. Le tableau d'autel fut exécuté en 1715 par le peintre François Joseph Vaincque, originaire de Mons-en-Hainaut, installé à Brive-la-Gaillarde avant 1703 (Lefort J.M., « Un retable du XVIIe siècle à la cathédrale de Sarlat », Bulletin de la Société des Amis de Sarlat, 1985, numéro 20, p. 7).
